Transcendent Tuesdays: What is Practice Presence?

There you are❣️ I SEE YOU.

On Today’s Transcendent Tuesday I am answering the question, “What is Practice Presence?”

Practice Presence is my take on mindfulness. We have talked about breathing exercises and its benefits in previous videos and we will talk about it some more in future videos.

Chronic stress affects your skin - it has been shown to disrupt your skin barrier and lead to loss of water through your skin surface leaving it prone to infection and irritation.

Chronic stress has been shown to also trigger flare ups of eczema or atopic dermatitis which we have also talked about in previous videos. {See link below)

An increase in stress severity has been strongly correlated with an increase in acne severity.

Practicing mindfulness is a way of mitigating stress levels. This in turn helps with wellness, including looking after your skin.

In my medical practice, I found that when I would talk about this, most people did not know what it meant or how to do it, and I would take out time in my office to help them practice it on their own in an easy to achieve, uncomplicated way.

I realized it not only helped them but it helped me as well.

With Dr. Hopiola, we help you incorporate it into your skincare routine for a few minutes where you intentionally start and end your day with calmness. You will hear more about what this looks like in future videos.
